Nowadays, it is becoming the trend of the modern society that more and more students take part-time jobs. Therefore, it is common if you see so many students doing part-time jobs, such as working as a salesperson or waiter (waitress) in some fast food restaurant, tutor, ect...Should students take part-time jobs ? People have different opinion because it has both advantages and disadvantages.
First, Students will become more independent, for they can earn extra spending money to buy things, transportation, house rent,tution, ...ect, instead of asking their parents for it. They may also be proud that they've grown up. Second, taking part-time job can also give students experience and knowledge about the working environment.The most important thing is that students can learn much more from the society, which cannot be learned in the university. Experiences and communities are actully important for the students.Moreover, Having a part-time job can broaden students' outlook to see something of outside world, not just always limiting their knowledge in books.Certainly, taking part-time job will improve their ability in order to do better in their work and relationships with others when they step into the society.
Besides, taking part-time job has also disadvantages. It takes a lot of time from school work .It also limits the amount of extracurricular activities that you can take. The time spent at work is lost, that could have been used for other more benificial stuff like homework, sleeping, studying, or just chilling with friends. A part-time job can also be hard to be fit into a student' schedule. The job might have requirements where you have to go to work even if you have an important test or exam coming up
Generally, students should do part-time jobs. If you know how to arrange your studying properly, you will get over difficult problems.Someone says that knowledge comes from experience. So, why don't you try to do it.Be confident in yourself !
